Ego vs Heart

An Ego is a good thing to waste. Some would say it divides us, it blinds us, it desires; its thirst is never quenched. It is all very true. The reason is that most people's ego is immature, it leads us into addictions and into unwise routes. It is mostly filled with pseudo love, frustrations, wounds and more than anything else in our society : narcissism.

Everybody heard about narcissism. It is the root of all psychological illnesses. The simplest image of what narcissism is would be to say it is a colorful thin layer , with mirror like quality, that covers the crust of our personality which is our Ego. It gives us the illusion of self importance and power. It is a dangerous psychological sickness. Everybody knows sociopathic and psychopathic personalities narcissistic tendencies; this ability they have to see someone has a "tool to an end" and nothing more. It is the sterilization of love.

It seems that the Ego makes us prisoners of desires, wounds and narcissism. Some people strive their whole life trying to solve the issues created by their own Ego; or better they lay down in the mud of their own narcissism and perceive it as gold. Let's not lose our sanity and freedom over that little crust that covers the core of our personality.

Let's put aside the ego for a moment. What is our heart made of? Why talk of the heart, while Psychologists talk in length about our poor suffering ego?

The heart enables us to be in contact with the world and be of service to the world with our own God given talents. It is the drive that helps build and create a real peace and does not lead into destructive or enslaving behaviors. Our heart is the root of freedom and of the absence of discrimination. It makes us understand we are not complete, that we are sinners and leads us in the arms of Jesus Christ, our savior. It creates a need of unity as well as a need for individual growth that goes beyond boundaries of an empty and sin glorifying liberal society . It enables us to develop at our full potential and be gold mines for the world and more importantly for God.

God has created us to be free and love each other and our heart was the gift from God to achieve this. Our heart is the link to Christ and to God who will protect us against our persecutors.

"The heart of a fool is in his mouth, but the mouth of the wise man is in his heart." A
Quote by one of the founding fathers of the nation Benjamin Franklin

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3 5-6

A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones. Proverbs 14:30

We all have been hurt and it is our heart that has been hurt at all time. Our feelings of abandonnment and betrayal, or disrespect and the opression and agression done toward us is incalculable.

The only way to free ourselves from these injustices is forgiveness. It is the only tool and the most powerful one you could ever find. Once you accomplish this task you will feel real power, great lucidity and a deep inner sense of liberty and a feeling of lightness. Never forgiving is accepting to be chained to the events and/or people that gave you pain.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. Mahatma Gandhi quote.

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. Mark 11:25

Our Heart is our fortress, created by God. Forgive, love and share, and you will live into a light that will never fade.

May God bless you and your family

Health care or Health not care reform?

I am not one who comments or complains. I am french Canadian by birth and through my wife I adopted the United states for my homeland. I got to know and love the Americans. I think they have a spirit and a certain youth about them that is attractive. The Health Care reform proposal that is out there scares me and it really should scare you too.

As I previously said I am from Canada, more precisely from Montreal, Quebec. We live under the control of the government as far as our health care. We pay more taxes than Americans do, to pay for this single payer health care system which everybody complains about in Quebec. They complained so much about delays and lack of service, that they created private clinic where pay full price for any treatment that they receive in quick manner. It is called the 2 speed medical system. I don't know about you, but i do not have $25,000.00 to pay upfront for a surgery. See since everybody is under the government plan, there not many insurance company that covers health issues, even under employers. Hard to find private insurance coverage have unaffordable premiums.

On a personal note my mother died of Cancer in Quebec in 2004 at the age of 69. She was a really energetic person that would have probably outlived us all. After paying all her life into this government health care she was not important enough to get the needed surgery to save her life. We are not talking about delays like some politicians seem to only point out, we are talking about not being able to get services.

See when the government has this kind of control they can make decision in terms of function not in terms of real value.

Family doctors in Quebec are imposed quotas. It means that after a certain numbers of patients seen they do not get paid. They are paid way less than American doctors. They see you for a few second and throw you out of their office after you waited 8 hours to get in.

Many leaders and political party's had ideological reforms. Many did not think of the consequences.

This present version health care Reform is the best of what will be if it ever passes through the senate. Restrictions and cuts in services will be added on and on in the future to the disservice of American people and their quality of life.

There way better solution to the health care issues than to throw it away.

Quebec's population in approximately 7.5 million. The population of the USA is around 300 million. Both population have similar median income. The American government will not be able to offer any service of quality to its people, it is a mathematical impossibility.

I hope this might have given you some food for thoughts. Remember we live in a democracy, get your local representatives contacts information and express your opinion.

Live with the Constitution and the Bible in your heart, Their light will show you the way.

Cinnamon and Blood Sugar Level

As a diabetic, I have been searching, like you I am sure, for ways to get my blood sugar level down. Since about 7.8 % of Americans live with this condition there are many resources out there. From diets to products or medical resources available, we are bombarded with information. Diabetes type II used to be affecting mostly people 40 yrs old or more. Now it affects people in their teenage years.

Cinnamon seems to be the “sugar terminator spice”. In the ancient world it was a prized spice and was used as a currency and an aphrodisiac. Originating from the Sri Lanka region, its name is a combination of the Hebraic “amomom” and the Italian “canella“. methylhydroxy chalcone polymer , the active ingredient found in all types of cinnamons is responsible for increasing the fight against blood sugar spikes.

We all know the consequences of high sugar level, from premature aging to heart problems, from blindness to nerve damage. Cinnamon has been tested many times and most studied were conclusive. Actually it does not only show reducing blood sugar but also decreasing cholesterol and triglycerides level, which is certainly not a bad side effect.

How does blood sugar go down ? First, by getting more insulin to be produced and released. The second way of battling the sugar is to decrease insulin resistance. Insulin is a big molecule that carries sugar to your cells. Each cell has insulin receptor that create a bond with the insulin. Small gates then open to permit the entry. When unusual amount of fat surrounds the cell the signal for the gate to open does not go through, leaving the sugar in our blood stream, depleting us of our energy. Cinnamon has been proven to help with the two issues cited above.

Please consult your physician about cinnamon. Try it. See the effects in your everyday life as far as your daily blood sugar test and level of energy you experience. Cinnamon is a great addition to a diet and exercise program that will lead you to a longer and better life.
